The founder of Dodo Brands, Fedor Ovchinnikov, announced the decision to leave the position of CEO of the company at the end of 2023. According to Mr. Ovchinnikov, he made this decision because he believes that companies need to separate “from the founding parents” in order to continue to develop.

“Companies, like people, should become independent from the founding parents, that’s when they have a chance to continue living on and continue the work they have begun. And I, like a loving parent, really want the company to become an independent person like a child, ”— wrote he is in his Telegram channel.

According to Mr. Ovchinnikov, he announced the decision to transfer the post of CEO to another person to his colleagues at the end of December 2022. At the same time, the entrepreneur noted that he would remain a shareholder and a member of the Board of Directors of Dodo Brands. Mr. Ovchinnikov did not specify who will become the new general director of the chain.

In addition, Fedor Ovchinnikov said that he plans to write a book that will be more addressed to colleagues at Dodo Brands and will contain “insights backed up by the company’s stories.” It will consist of posts on Instagram (owned by Meta, recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation). The volume of chapters, the businessman explains, will be no more than 2200 characters, this is the limit of characters set in the social network. The book will be published in paper form.

Fedor Ovchinnikov opened the first Dodo Pizza pizzeria in his native Syktyvkar in 2011. It currently has 896 restaurants in 16 countries. website companies.
