“Or maybe not”
This year, actor Fedor Dobronravov is celebrating an earthen wedding with his wife Irina – they have been together for 41 years. Fedor himself believes that there is nothing surprising in such a long marriage. About the relationship with Irina, as well as the phenomenon of “Matchmakers” and meetings with Zelensky, Dobronravov told MK.
“Irina and I have no secret: we just love each other and that’s all,” says Dobronravov. – We met in the area of the fifth grade of the school, and after a while they got married.
– Such a long marriage is rare for any of the artists to meet!
– It’s a curiosity now. But I think it’s completely normal. All my friends, all my acquaintances are like me. I and among the artists are full of people who got married once and live their whole lives together.
– Did your relationship change after you became popular?
– Not changed. The only thing that bothers me a little is that I rarely go home. Of course, this upsets my family. But what to do is part of our procession. My sons also act quite a lot. And they play. And the wives are waiting, counting the years. It has always been so.
– You have three granddaughters and a grandson. Do you pamper them?
– We are trying with grandma, which is why we get it from our parents (laughs). Grandfather’s and grandmother’s love is different from parental love. She is more carefree.
– You said that you have a busy schedule. How do you rest?
– It’s hard to rest. So far, the plans are to go to Taganrog, visit the graves of my parents, see relatives. Brother with his family, sister with nephews. I plan on at least a little. It has been very busy throughout the year. Our country is big, it comes to fly, to ride.
– People want to see – after “Matchmakers” you became a national hero. What do you think is the success of this series?
– It is necessary to ask the audience. We are artists. Filmed, then working on another project. There was a lot of love in “Matchmakers”, a lot. It spills over the television screens, into our families. And our humor, and our way of life. We filmed in real love from both Ukraine and Russia.
– Did Vladimir Zelensky often appear on the set?
– Never. I saw him twice.
– Then he was still normal?
– Yes, probably. Or maybe not anymore. I don’t know – I didn’t understand it.
– Do you keep in touch with your Russian colleagues from “Matchmakers”?
– Yes, sure. We meet and talk. Because our employment allows. Everyone works, a lot of people travel a lot around the country.
– Have you decided for yourself, until what age will you tour?
– As long as health allows, we will work.
