On February 21, there will be no traffic on Ilyinka and Varvarka streets. As reported in the Deptrans of the capital, this is due “to the holding of events.”
Sections of Ilyinka Street from Novaya Square to Red Square, Varvarka Street from Kitaigorodsky Proyezd to Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge and between Ilyinka and Varvarka in the area of d. 5 along Red Square will be blocked at 00.01 on February 21. Parking will also be prohibited in these areas.

The passage along Varvarka will also be closed to public transport. Deptrans specified that from 23.20 on February 20, m90 buses will run from the Belyaevo metro station not to the Lubyanka metro station, but to Balchug Street, and the c920 buses will go through the Bolshoy Ustyinsky bridge and Solyanka instead of the Bolshoi Moskvoretsky bridge and Varvarka.
It is clarified that all restrictions and traffic changes will be lifted after the end of the event. Considering that some media outlets link the introduction of restrictions with the forthcoming address of the President of Russia to the Federal Assembly on February 21, which will begin at 12.00, it is hardly worth expecting the restoration of traffic before 14.00.
