FC Chita was not included in the Youth Football League for 2024

The football club (FC) “Chita” was not included in the 2024 season of the interregional Youth Football League (YFL) of Siberia. This was reported on February 2 in the telegram channel of the football club.
The post citing FC director Alexander Bodyalov indicated that this news came as a surprise.
“On behalf of the football sports school of the Trans-Baikal Territory, I can say the following: the necessary documents for obtaining the RFU certificate of conformity were submitted on time. One of the conditions for receiving it is an assessment of the stadium by a commission, which is only possible at above-zero temperatures, which for obvious reasons is not possible at the moment. We fulfilled the conditions set and submitted the documents,” the message says.
An appeal is now planned. The management of FC Chita is doing everything for the team to take part in tournaments.
The website of the Russian Football Union states that football players from the Republic of Buryatia were also not included in the Siberian Football Union.
According to the Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of the Trans-Baikal Territory Andrei Seredkin, it is too early to say that FC Chita will not be able to participate in the matches.
“It is too early to say in the affirmative that our teams will not take part in the UFL – we are filing an appeal, writing letters. The football players of Buryatia also found themselves in this situation. In ’22 we played in the Far East, where we took 1st and 3rd places, then Buryatia and I were transferred to the Siberian District in ’23. And in 24, apparently taking into account the economic component and remoteness, our regions simply were not included in the tournament. We’ll figure it out and prove it,” he explained to the MK in Chita correspondent.
