The FBI is interested in the connection of Leonardo DiCaprio with businessman Joe Low suspected of multimillion-dollar fraud, writes Bloomberg.
The Hollywood star had to go through a survey of investigators: questions were asked about the businessman and the gifts that he gave him.
DiCaprio, according to the agency, told FBI agents that he met the businessman at a nightclub in 2010. He called Low the “Mozart of business”, but claims he did not discuss business projects with him.
According to Bloomberg, Lowe showered the actor with gifts and threw parties around the world with him. In addition, the material refers to the financing of the film “The Wolf of Wall Street” by Lowe. Lowe is also alleged to have given DiCaprio a $3.2 million Pablo Picasso painting that was later seized.
In 2019, the US Department of Justice filed charges against Joe Low for conspiracy and money laundering.
