Fathers of disabled children exempted from mobilization

Fathers of disabled children are exempt from conscription for military service as part of partial mobilization, regardless of the number of children in the family. This was announced by the head of the State Duma Committee on Family, Women and Children Nina Ostanina (KPRF). According to her, such an amendment was made to the directive of the General Staff. In addition, the fathers of two children whose wives are pregnant will not be called.

Our changes to the directive of the General Staff regarding the exemption from partial mobilization of the father of two children, whose wife is at the 22nd week of pregnancy – have been adopted! Also, another amendment has been made to the directive – fathers of disabled children are exempted from partial mobilization, regardless of the number of children in the family! Telegram.

According to her, in return, “we were asked not to insist on the adoption of amendments to the law “On mobilization” until the end of the special operation,” since the directive of the General Staff is valid until the end of the military operation in Ukraine. She promised to “talk to colleagues about this moment separately.”

On October 18, the State Duma adopted a bill in three readings at once, providing mobilized businessmen with a delay in resolving organizational issues and transferring power of attorney to do business to other people. Mrs. Ostanina at the meeting spoke about the need to give a deferral for parents of disabled children, as well as two children in the event of a third pregnancy of the wife. However, these amendments were not supported. Nikolai Kolomeytsev, the first deputy head of the Communist Party faction, even said that the defense committee was showing “stubbornness and inadequate perception of the situation.” Defense Committee Chairman Andrey Kartapolov (United Russia) in response only promised to continue consultations with the Ministry of Defense about children with disabilities.

Partial mobilization was announced in Russia by decree of Vladimir Putin from 21 September. October 14 President saidthat within two weeks the mobilization will be completed. Per month urged 260 thousand people.
