“Faster, otherwise I’ll shoot my knees”: a gang of teenagers is terrorizing a village near St. Petersburg

Women in hijabs, and a flock of children nearby. Once upon a time, traditional oriental families were looked after with interest, perceiving them as foreign exotics. Now they have become the norm of city life. Migrants settle on the outskirts or in the suburbs – where housing is cheaper or bought specifically for rent. This is how neighborhoods are formed in which it is not always safe for locals to live.

The village of Yanino in the Leningrad region has turned into a similar “ghetto”. A gang of young migrants is operating here, which attacks children and bullies adults.

“Flocks of Eastern teenagers gather in the most crowded places in the village. They sit at fast food chains, have chosen a shopping center, hang out in a skate park … It’s unpleasant to pass by them, they will definitely say something in a foreign language. Go understand what they say. And then – laughter,” adult villagers share their story.

“Very tense feeling. So you wait for something to be stuck in the side or to watch somewhere, ”says another resident.

While adults are simply bullied so far, migrants do not stand on ceremony with teenagers. So, on August 8, on Orange Street, a 16-year-old native of the near abroad approached a peer and clearly said: “Take off your T-shirt.” When he refused, he pulled out a pistol and ordered: “Faster, otherwise I’ll shoot through my knees.” Passing men quickly reacted to the weapons. They twisted the teenager and took away his gun. It turned out to be a toy from a children’s store. The victim told the police that a group of illegal immigrants had been pestering him for a long time. And now from threats have passed to actions. According to the police, the attacker turned out to be a native of Transcaucasia.

Information about the attack on Orange Street quickly spread throughout the area. Following her, other cases of violence by teenage gangs of migrants were revealed. For example, a 12-year-old schoolgirl posted on the Web a correspondence with a user who calls himself Fedya Sharipov. In broken Russian, Fedya demanded sex, asked for a photo and threatened with reprisal. The schoolgirl said that the day before she passed by an oriental company. She was asked to come, she did not answer and rushed to run. And then messages of an intimate nature rained down in her personal.

Outraged parents raised a wave in social networks. It turned out that the story did not begin yesterday.

“In Yanino, there has long been an ethnic gang uniting the children of migrants,” a local resident told MK. – Children of immigrants from neighboring countries attack in a crowd of 10-12 people. They take away things, phones, pocket money or just beat them. The incident is filmed and posted online.

One such video shows a group of teenagers chasing a passing peer, knocking him down, and then beating him, accompanying the actions with comments with a characteristic accent. Currently, the public has been hastily deleted. They saw out of the networks and its main characters – the user Shah-Shah, Ibrashka Samaganov and other bandmates with no less colorful nicknames.

Residents of Yanino repeatedly complained to the police, the administration and the district school. Their words were reacted in a peculiar way. The director of the Yanin Education Center called for tolerance, and the administration of the village organized … a dance circle, in which he called on residents of different nationalities to unite.

“As for the police, it’s very bad, to be honest. If you take the Vsevolozhsk district, it is generally abandoned. If a situation arises, it is useless to wait for the police,” says Yaroslav Aksyonov, a resident of the Yanino-1 village.

Losing patience, the men of the village decided to take matters into their own hands. They gathered a people’s squad and went out to patrol the streets. At the very first raids, the vigilantes managed to detain the guy who threatened the children on the playground with a knife.

The situation in the village of Yanino has already come to the attention of the Investigative Committee.

Here is what the representative of the UK in the Leningrad region told MK about this:

“In connection with the attack on Orange Street, the investigating authorities initiated a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation – hooliganism with the use of items used as weapons, committed by a group of people. In pursuance of the instructions, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, was presented with a report on the situation … In order to coordinate joint activities and monitor the progress and results of the investigation, the head of the investigative department for the Leningrad Region held an interdepartmental operational meeting with the participation of investigators, management and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Vsevolozhsky District of the Leningrad Region region… In the criminal case, investigative actions are being carried out aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the crime and the persons involved in its commission.”

In the meantime, “the circumstances are being clarified,” local men continue to control the crowded places of the village in order to protect their own children.
