The farewell ceremony for political scientist Gleb Pavlovsky ended at the Central Clinical Hospital in Moscow. It was attended by about 100 people – his relatives, friends and colleagues, reports TASS.
Gleb Pavlovsky died February 26 at the First Moscow Hospice named after Vera Millionshchikova after a severe and prolonged illness. He was 71 years old.
He served as deputy chairman of the board of the Kommersant publishing house in 1991-1992, in 1994-1995 he was the editor and publisher of the quarterly “Limits of Power”, in 1995-1996 he was the founder and co-editor of the journalistic review “Sreda”. From October 2005 to April 2008, he hosted the Real Politics program on NTV.
In 1995, Gleb Pavlovsky founded the Effective Policy Fund, which developed Vladimir Putin’s presidential campaign in 2000. Gleb Pavlovsky also participated in the election campaign of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych in 2004.
