The names of two more Russian participants in the NHL All-Star Game have become known
Colorado Avalanche goaltender Alexander Georgiev and Florida Panthers goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky will participate in the National Hockey League All-Star Game. Information about this appeared on the NHL website.
Russian hockey players were chosen by fans during voting. In addition to the Russians, they highly praised the play of Leon Draisaitl from the Edmonton Oilers, Cale Makar from Colorado and Jaeremy Swayman from the Boston Bruins.
Three more Russians were selected to participate in the All-Star Game by the hockey players, coaches and sports journalists themselves. These are Minnesota Wild forward Kirill Kaprizov, Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov and New York Rangers goalkeeper Igor Shesterkin. For the first time in a long time, Alexander Ovechkin was not included in the list of participants in the All-Star Game.
This year’s All-Star Game will take place in Toronto from February 1st to 3rd. The teams for the three-on-three tournament will be determined in a new way – through a draft in which the captains of the four divisions will select players and celebrities for their teams. And during the master show, hockey players will determine the owner of a million dollars.
