Which NPOs are recognized as socially oriented?

NPOs created in the form of a foundation, public organization (except for political parties), non-profit partnership, religious community, autonomous non-profit organization, association or Cossack association are considered socially oriented.
The charter of SONCO must reflect at least one type of activity from the list defined by the law “On Non-Profit Organizations”. An NPO can perform the functions of social support and protection of citizens, engage in environmental protection, charitable activities, provide legal assistance free of charge, or cultural adaptation and integration of migrants. She may also be tasked with medical rehabilitation, patriotic education of children and adolescents, etc.
As of January 29, 2024, there were 49,353 socially oriented NPOs in the Ministry of Economic Development register.
