On January 17, the match of the 17th round of the Volleyball Super League took place in Novy Urengoy – the Yamal Fakel and the Krasnoyarsk Enisey met at the Zvezdny site. The Novy Urengoy team lost to their opponent, according to the website of VK Fakel.
“Krasnoyarsk “Yenisei” came to Novy Urengoy with a thirst for revenge for defeat in the first round and made it clear from the very first minutes. But the game frankly didn’t go well for the hosts, and, as Fakel head coach Roman Empolov said after the match, the players couldn’t cope with their emotions – they really wanted to win the first home match of the new calendar year, but the victory eventually went to Krasnoyarsk. “Fakel” (Novy Urengoy) – “Yenisey” (Krasnoyarsk) – 0:3 (19:25, 29:31, 28:30),” the message says.
Fakel will play its next match in Surgut, where on January 21 it will meet with the local Gazprom-Yugra.
