On Saturday, November 11, a match took place in Voronezh as part of the 15th round of the RPL, where Fakel fought with CSKA. The game between strong opponents ended in a draw – the score in the final was 1:1. As MK in Voronezh previously reported, Sergei Bozhin managed to equalize the score at the end of the game – he scored a header in stoppage time.
“The field is difficult, but it’s the same for both teams,” CSKA head coach Vladimir Fedotov said at the post-match press conference. – I think we scored a good goal. We went on the attack, played according to the score, but there was a lack of logical action in the middle of the field.
The new head coach of Fakel, Sergei Tashuev, called the opponents one of the best in defense and said that the Muscovites played more organized in this regard.
– Unfortunately, we were unable to contain CSKA’s attacks in the first minutes. But in the second half we played correctly, putting pressure on the opponent. It’s a shame we scored late. But we tried to fight until victory and for the fans we managed to win this battle point.
Sergei Tashuev also noted that it was harder for our team to play against CSKA than against Spartak.
