On December 24, the second stage of the Russian Snow Volleyball Championship ended in Kazan. Snowmen from Novy Urengoy “Fakel” Alexander Kramarenko, Maxim Khudyakov, Taras Myskiv and Fedor Sabaev won bronze medals, beating the Moscow team with a score of 2:0. “Unfortunately, the Yamal team failed to repeat the golden success of the Novy Urengoy stage in Kazan. Having passed the group stage without defeat, in the semi-finals the team of Peter Korolev met with the hosts of the site – Dynamo-Tatarstan – and lost with a score of 0:2. But in the “bronze” match, the Novy Urengoy team confidently defeated the Moscow “Academy” – 2:0,” the message says.
Also in Kazan, “Fakel” was represented by the women’s team – Sofia Berezovskaya, Sofia Naumenko, Sofia Chakileva, Milana Gafarova. The athletes failed to make it through the qualifying round, also losing to the hosts of the stage, Dynamo-Tatarstan, with a score of 0:2.
The next tournament for Yamal snow volleyball players will be the Russian Cup stage, which will be held in Moscow from January 26 to 28.
