On April 7, the final matches of the Russian snow volleyball championship took place in Novy Urengoy. Yamal was represented by two teams from the Fakel volleyball club, both of which ended up on the podium – they took gold and bronze. This was reported in the Fakel group on VKontakte.

In the final match, Fakel-1 beat the Dynamo-Tatarstan team with a score of 2:1. In the game for third place, Fakel-2 won over its rivals from Moscow: the score was 2:0.

Yamal Governor Dmitry Artyukhov congratulated the Novy Urengoy volleyball players on his social networks.

“The final was held in Novy Urengoy, we are hosting competitions of this level for the second year in a row. Our athletes are bright heroes of every season. “Fakel” has not only the highest awards of the last two championships, but also two Russian Cups in snow volleyball. And this is a team that only started playing on snow two years ago. I’m proud of the guys and wish them even more sporting triumphs!” – Artyukhov announced.
