Raised (until the children matured to adulthood and joining the ranks of the CPSU) parents, close relatives, school, teachers, neighbors, yard friends … Were all without exception the guardians of future “faithful sons” were “children of the party”? The CPSU ruled, ruled. But, I suspect, many wanted to disown such a dissolute, shameless mother as the CPSU or the CPSU (b). It happens that the children of non-ideal families study well, take revenge for infantile and youthful rejection, become respected people … But is this the case with the “faithful sons” of the aforementioned abstract, vague, many-sided organization that constantly and windily changed preferences? Either her “faithful son” Stalin is dear to her, or he is thrown out of the Mausoleum. Either he caresses the “faithful son” of Khrushchev, or drives him with a filthy broom to retire. Well, in the case of K.U. Chernenko, it’s completely nonsense. What is glorious and what talents is marked by this next “faithful son” of the mother-heroine, who breeds offspring faster than a laying hen? In addition to his bestial appearance, what outstanding contribution did he make to the world communist movement? What penance did he deserve and what valor did he accomplish in order to lead a vast power? Chauffeur-gear at the back of Brezhnev? Obsequiously dominating with him and in parallel running from paying alimony to numerous wives?

Under what circumstances would such party-workers, whose only ability to lead come down to the ability to knock dominoes, sitting at a table with benevolent superiors, could climb the throne if they weren’t “faithful sons”?

So: a “faithful son” – one who pleases, grovels and, as a result, receives power and millions of subjects as a reward? (And the hypothetical millions with a Leninist profile in a bank account?) The unfaithful sons whom he bypassed at a career turn are a dime a dozen, they will not be said or written about in obituaries (if any) as pompously as about him. .

Who, in the end, are these unfaithful sons? And these are those who lost the race, dropped out, failed (or did not want to) make a fuss.

You can characterize them extensively: losers, scumbags, Trotskyists, Weismonists-Moranists, murderous doctors, enemies of the people, renegades … But in our ascetic days it is appropriate to stick to short formulations. brevity. Aphoristic. It is irrational to waste epithets and millions of tons of verbal ore, if you can express the essence with a single stroke. After all, brevity is the sister of what? The very thing that is not inherent, not characteristic, is not in a family relationship with the “faithful sons.”

The trouble is not that the “sons” and “daughters” (this dubious compliment is much less common in official rhetoric) did not understand anything about politics and economics, did not see a dialectical perspective, and so they brought it down, cut down the country, destroying its so-called gene pool, but that they were moral nonentities.
