Face Pay launched at all MCC stations

The Face Pay fare payment system has been launched today at all stations of the Moscow Central Circle (MCC), reported on Saturday in the department of transport and development of road transport infrastructure of the capital.
The facial recognition fare payment service began to operate in test mode in Moscow on September 3. You can connect to Face Pay in the Moscow Metro app, the department noted.
Deputy Mayor of Moscow Maxim Liksutov said that the service is available at 85 turnstiles of 31 MCC stations. According to him, more than 190,000 users have already connected to the system, who have made over 33 million biometric passes.
“We see that the demand for the service is growing and we will definitely increase the number of turnstiles with payment by biometrics. The facial recognition fare payment service operates at 281 metro and MCC stations, ”Liksutov’s department quotes.
Face Pay has been operational at metro stations since October 15, 2021. On July 26, Liksutov said that it is planned to scale up payment using Face Pay: it will also become available for passengers on regular river routes in the future, and the possibility of using it in Aeroexpress is also being considered.
