In particular, a new way to classify dolls
Experts from the Association of Children’s Goods Industry Enterprises proposed to improve the new interstate standard for toys.
As it became known to MK, experts believe that certain categories of toys should be expanded or modified. For example, the standard distinguishes the categories “human dolls” and “animal dolls”. According to some participants in the discussion, it would be more correct to indicate the properties of dolls, because now toy manufacturers produce not only static dolls, but also mechanical ones, as well as electromechanical, hydraulic ones. Also, experts note that in the GOST project, classic board games, such as checkers and chess, are singled out in one category, and backgammon, which is quite popular in our country and many neighboring countries, is completely absent. At the same time, printed games with the passage of the route are placed in a separate category there. Meanwhile, both them and gamebooks, also not mentioned in the standard, should be combined into a single class. The work on the standard has not yet been completed. The Association said that they would continue to collect suggestions for improvement from manufacturers of toys and games.
