The enemy does not forgive mistakes

Social networks continue to discuss the New Year’s strike of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Makeevka in the DPR. According to Daniil Bezsonov, there was a hit by high-precision missiles of the American HIMARS system on the building of a vocational school, where the military was at that moment. Officially, the information is not confirmed, the number of victims is not reported. Experts and bloggers offer a whole range of measures to prevent such tragedies.

If the information voiced by the observers is correct, then this was the case. On New Year’s Eve, at 00:01, there was an arrival at the vocational school building. There was a point of temporary deployment of the unit transferred to the DPR.

It is clear that the military themselves do not choose a place for their location. Usually, the location is determined by the higher headquarters. He must also ensure that all necessary security measures are in place.

Considering that the HIMARS shells flew right into the building, the Ukrainian armed forces had information about the target. It could be obtained thanks to the space intelligence of the NATO country, which monitors the movement of our troops online. It is possible that a network of agents on site was involved to clarify the information.

Well, then – the question of technology. The target for the strike of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as a rule, is coordinated with American advisers. As soon as the go-ahead was received, the “New Year’s” blow was carried out.

What to do with the total Western superiority in observation satellites (in total, more than 300 satellites for remote sensing of the Earth from space operate on the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and we have observation satellites 20-30 times less)? The answer to this question has long been known. It is necessary not to neglect camouflage measures, to ensure secrecy of movement and to disperse troops and equipment as much as possible.

Back in the summer, such experienced battalion commanders as Alexander Khodakovsky were indignant when they saw large military columns near the front line, within the reach of the UAF strike weapons. Any such column is a tasty and easy target for a missile attack. It is easy to detect and cover with an accurate blow. Clearly, certain lessons have been learned.

The same is true for ammunition depots. After a series of UAF strikes on our arsenals, they began to be better camouflaged and stopped concentrating all the explosive good in one place.

By the way, the same thing happened at the Engels military airfield in the Saratov region. Experts noted that after two raids by enemy drones, judging by recent foreign satellite images on the Web, there are noticeably fewer aircraft based at this airfield and aircraft are no longer lined up as before.

It is clear that similar measures should be taken with respect to points of temporary deployment of military units. Especially in the area of ​​warfare.

Military reporters are advised to use secretive underground structures, concrete shelters to accommodate personnel. And, in general, the places of temporary deployment of subunits and units should be changed as often as possible.

Among other measures – tougher punishment for providing the enemy with information about the location and movement of our troops. And here much depends on the effectiveness of the work of the security and counterintelligence agencies.
