Experts are skeptical about the slowdown in inflation in Turkey

Inflation in Turkey slowed down in November to 84.39% in annual terms compared to 85.51% in October, the Turkstat Institute of Statistics reported on December 5. This happened for the first time in a year and a half. The last time prices in Turkey fell was in the spring of 2021, from 17.14% in April to 16.59% in May.
The largest annual increase in the consumer price index (CPI) in November was recorded in transport services – by 107% compared to the same period last year, food and non-alcoholic beverages – by 102.5%, and furniture and fittings – by 92.8%.
