Expert: VPN technology will become available only to experienced users

According to the director of the IT-Reserve company, Pavel Myasoedov, a possible ban on the popularization of VPN services from March 1 will deprive only some categories of citizens of the opportunity to use them.
In an interview with the Prime agency, he explained that VPN is used to hide the user’s location in order to bypass blocking of certain resources. Restrictions may only affect programs available in the public domain, while the technology itself will remain available to experienced users who can configure it themselves.
Myasoedov also noted that such restrictions may be due to external pressure on the country.
