The construction of the rail frame of the Moscow agglomeration continues at the planned pace. Thus, on February 19, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced current plans for the development of the transport system until 2030. In particular, three new metro lines (Troitskaya, Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya and Biryulevskaya) and 48 rail frame stations will be opened in the capital: 39 new metro stations and 9 new/reconstructed MCD stations.

“The development of the metro in large cities such as Moscow not only improves transport accessibility and mobility of residents, but also stimulates the economy,” comments Oleg Pokusaev, director of Advanced Engineering Schools. – With the advent of comfortable high-speed transport, areas that were previously industrial zones or “backyards” are becoming new points of attraction. People are more willing to build and buy housing there, commercial real estate is being developed there, and businesses are opening there. Thanks to this, more funds flow into the city budget.

According to the expert, in recent years, with the arrival of the metro, the territory of New Moscow has become more attractive for investors and citizens. The construction of off-street railway transport there continues: in 2024, the first stage of the Troitskaya Line and the Potapovo station of the Sokolnicheskaya Line will open. The pace of construction is unprecedented, and this makes the city more comfortable for millions of people, the expert emphasized.
