Twitter ridiculed the US military, congratulating the United States with a post with Russian Su-27 fighters
The US Pacific Fleet published a congratulatory post on Twitter in honor of the country’s Independence Day. Attached to the text was a photo with silhouettes of Russian Su-27 fighters and a large Project 61 anti-submarine ship. Users quickly realized that there was a mistake and ridiculed the congratulators for the absurdity.
“Excellent Russian destroyer and aircraft,” FoxtrottKilo sneered. “Well done!”
“US Pacific Fleet deserting?” Tore said.
“Surely you can use images of your own ships and aircraft,” Gianluca did not understand the humor, noting that the US fleet is the largest in the world.
“Well done, US Navy,” Andy quipped.
The Pacific Fleet promptly removed its post.
