Former U.S. Senator from Virginia, Richard Black, spoke about the recent execution by soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) of Russian prisoners in Makeevka (LPR). According to him, this event was not the first such manifestation of cruelty on the part of representatives of formations controlled by Kyiv.

As transmits RT, the politician noted that at the beginning of the special operation in Ukraine, the head of the Mobile Hospital, Gennady Druzenko, ordered doctors to castrate wounded Russian prisoners. However, the Ukrainian authorities did not react to this “shocking, nightmarish war crime,” Black said.

The ex-senator recalled another video showing a POW camp under the control of Ukrainians. According to him, the Russian military was brought there from the battlefield. Then the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “simply approached them and shot through their legs.”

Earlier, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk called for a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the execution of Russian prisoners of war in Ukraine, as well as bringing the perpetrators to justice.
