On November 20, Volgograd residents can expect not only a game between the national teams of Russia and Cuba, but also a pre-match show. The hero city will host an autograph session with the legends of the Russian national team, including former Rotor players Evgeny Aldonin and Valery Esipov.
The last time the Russian national football team played in Volgograd was 20 years ago. Then the Albanian team flew to the hero city, and the Russians, including Evgeniy Aldonin, turned out to be stronger – 4:1.
The legend of Rotor and CSKA admitted that he remembered the match in Volgograd for the incredible support of the fans.
“Before the match, posters appeared all over the city with my portrait as a Rotor player. But this was only my third or fourth call to the Russian national team,” – he shared his memories.
Evgeny Aldonin will fly to Volgograd as an ambassador of the RFU. Dmitry Sychev and Pavel Pogrebnyak will also take part in the autograph session.
