Ex-Prime Minister of Dagestan sentenced to 5 years in prison for fraud

The press service of the Meshchansky Court of Moscow reports that the former Prime Minister of Dagestan, Mukhtar Mejidov, was found guilty of embezzling about 108 million rubles from the Russian Defense Ministry, which were allocated for the creation of radar systems for landing aircraft.
“Medzhidov was found guilty of committing crimes under part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Fraud on an especially large scale”) and sentenced to five years in prison and a fine of 900,000 rubles,” the report says.
