Former Polish President Bronisław Komorowski is not right when speaking about the appropriateness of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations, Krzysztof Sobolevsky, Secretary General of the ruling Law and Justice Party (PiS) in Poland, is sure.
According to the politician, Komorowski’s statements speak of how Warsaw would behave with Ukraine if the Civic Platform came to power. Sobolevsky added that now Komorowski is trying to become the leader of the opposition.
The politician added that this is an example of the behavior of “unfortunate diplomats”, but the worst thing is that “this is a former Polish president.”
Earlier, Bronislav Komorovsky spoke on the air of the RMF FM radio station about the words of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. He had previously said that he would not conduct any negotiations with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. The ex-president of Poland drew attention to the fact that Zelensky claimed a few months ago that he was ready to talk with Putin. As a result, Komorowski stressed that he “would speak for the readiness to talk about the conditions of peace, including the security of Ukraine, even with Putin.”
Meanwhile, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Vershinin stated that Zelensky’s refusal to negotiate with Russia is the wrong position. He also said that the negotiations, the last round of which was held in Istanbul, were then interrupted due to the fault of Kyiv.
