Former Lokomotiv midfielder Sergei Gurenko assessed Baltika’s performance in nine rounds of the RPL and shared his opinion about the team’s head coach Sergei Ignashevich.
Ignashevich makes the most of what he has. And Baltika plays good football, Gurenko added.
“But, of course, there are not enough qualified attackers. If they strengthen 3-4 positions in the winter transfer window, then everything will be fine. “Baltika” was not inferior to anyone in the game,” Gurenko noted in an interview with RB Sport.
Ignashevich is doing well working in Kaliningrad, the ex-Lokomotiv midfielder believes. Baltika itself needs to be given time to get used to the speed of play in the RPL, where now, according to Gurenko, there is no clear leader.
General Director of Baltika Kirill Volzhenkin previously told about the fate of Sergei Ignashevich in the football club. There is no reason to talk about the possible resignation of the head coach, Volzhenkin emphasized.
