Ex-lead singer of Lesopoval Kuprik celebrates his 50th birthday: Shufutinsky got everything mixed up

Singer Sergei Kuprik today accepts congratulations on his anniversary: ​​he turned 50 years old. And, of course, we couldn’t miss this event and decided to find out from the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation why he approached the big date and why he refused large-scale festivities.

– Sergey, you are celebrating your anniversary today, for which we congratulate you. How old do you feel?

– For me, the numbers in the passport are just numbers. 50 is a beautiful date, I meet it in a great mood, full of strength and plans. This is probably the most important thing at any age. I am not tired of life, and I do not physically feel my age at all. There is life experience, a certain wisdom – perhaps this is the only thing that makes me 50.

– How will you celebrate?

– This year, despite the round and significant date, I decided not to organize grand celebrations. We will celebrate my anniversary with a close circle of family and friends. We also decided not to hold an anniversary concert, but to send all the money to help the residents and defenders of Donbass! I think we’ll meet the audience at a concert in the spring.

– Now is really not the best time for festivities. However, you probably had some memorable birthdays…

– Where would we be without this? For example, I celebrated my 46th birthday with a big solo concert in the Kremlin. And from the very morning everything did not go according to plan. First, the car broke down on the way, so we had to take a taxi. At the pass office I discovered that I had forgotten my passport, without which it was impossible to enter the Kremlin Palace. There were 5 hours left before the concert, the musicians began to rehearse without me while they were taking my passport from home. Thank God, we all made it in time, but an incident happened during the concert. Mikhail Zakharovich Shufutinsky came out to congratulate me… on my anniversary. He was sure that he came to see me for my 45th birthday, and I was already a year older. In general, I remember this day.

– Although you don’t celebrate properly, you’re welcome without gifts. What did your closest relatives give you?

– My wife gave me a gift that I dreamed of for almost a year as a boy – a chair simulator with the full effect of a racing track. My nephew got me into virtual racing. As a child, it was impossible to read about this even in science fiction books, but now this miracle of technology has become a reality. Of course, there are more important and necessary things, but my wife said: “You turn 50 once in your life. Let me just please you, because despite all the difficulties and different tasks, you need to pamper yourself and not lose your sense of joy from life.” I agreed with her!

– In general, how did you approach your 50th anniversary, what is your life filled with?

“She is filled with the desire to serve and help people both on stage and in the great humanitarian work that we have been conducting in Donbass since 2014.” Today this support takes up most of my time. Also, the music and the audience never disappear. I also want to say thank you to fate for the fact that at the age of 50 I have a beloved and loving wife next to me, with whom we look in the same direction and do good deeds together.
