Ex-intelligence officer Ritter: Ukraine will have to give up lost territories for the sake of peace

Politicians in Western countries began to understand that Ukraine would not be able to win the conflict with Russia. This statement was made by former US Army intelligence officer Scott Ritter in an article for the Energy Intelligence portal.
“Many former supporters of Ukraine’s victory are now openly declaring their support for a negotiated settlement to the conflict, including recognition of the loss of territories currently owned by Russia in exchange for peace,” the publication says.
In addition, Ritter added that the failures of the Ukrainian army in the combat zone had a very strong impact on one of Kyiv’s main allies, Washington. The expert believes that the United States began to lose prestige and global trust due to the fact that it failed in its campaign in Ukraine.
