Ex-head of Russian Baptists Yuri Sipko put on wanted list in case of fakes

The Ministry of Internal Affairs put the former head of the Russian Union of Evangelical Christians-Baptists Yuri Sipko on the wanted list. The basis for the search is a criminal case, follows from the database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
August 8 TFR informedthat a case was initiated against Yury Sipko on the dissemination of false information about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (clause “d”, part 2, article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). According to investigators, in March 2022, he published a video with “deliberately false information about the actions of the Russian armed forces against the civilian population of Ukraine.” He and his associates were searched. No arrests were reported.
Yuriy Sipko, 61, is a pastor and religious figure. In 2002–2010, he headed the Russian Union of Evangelical Christian Baptists. His family reported that he left Russia some time ago.
