Deputy of the State Duma of the 5th convocation Semyon Bagdasarov, on the air of Vladimir Solovyov’s YouTube program, said that Russia should “take advantage of the situation” and “expel” Turkey from Central Asia. Now this country is weakened by the economic crisis and the consequences of a devastating earthquake.

“Turkey is now in a difficult situation. Let’s take advantage of it: drive it out of Central Asia, split its influence in Ukraine, drive it out of the South Caucasus,” Bagdasarov said.

Further on the air, he switched to shouting: “And we will return to the composition of our state what historically belongs to us – Constantinople!”

In his opinion, in Istanbul, over the Hagia Sophia, which has recently combined the functions of a museum and a mosque, a cross should be erected, and “prayers in Aramaic” should be heard there.

“It is possible in Russian,” added Solovyov’s guest on the air.
