Evgenia Milova about the social events of the week
[ad_1]
Last week, a lot happened in the social sense, but the most discussed event was the dinner in honor of the zero issue of the Moskvichka magazine. This new gloss is another project of Christina Potupchik. Long-time readers of Kommersant know her primarily as the press secretary of the Nashi movement and Rosmolodezh. She is also considered a co-author of the 2008 action against the Kommersant Publishing House – when toilet paper with the Kommersant logo, a fake “Editor’s Letter” and the phone number of Yulia Taratuta (included in the register of foreign agents), who then worked as a correspondent for Kommersant, was sold near the metro. Mrs. Potupchik never publicly admitted that she had anything to do with this incident, however, even today a fragment of this toilet paper in a gilded frame hangs on the wall of her office (see the YouTube show “Light Around the World”). Now she owns one of the largest Telegram networks, as well as the Rare Book Publishing House, which actually publishes books.
Darina Alekseeva, who had not previously held such positions, became the editor-in-chief of Moskvichka. But the magazine’s team also included glossy professionals: Victoria Davydova, who launched Glamor and Tatler magazines in Russia and headed Vogue for several years; teacher of the history department of Moscow State University, former editor-in-chief of Vogue and former National Bolshevik Andrei Karagodin; Albert Galeev, who worked as editor-in-chief of Tatler, and his colleague Daria Kuznetsova. The release of the zero issue “Autumn 2023”, published in a circulation of 999 copies, was celebrated with a dinner at the Vladey gallery on Neglinnaya. Here, experienced glossy heroes like Sergei Kapkov or Victoria Manasir met new ones. There was, for example, the head of the ANO “Dialogue” Vladimir Tabak, who from the glossy previously only produced the well-known, but already long-standing (2010) congratulatory calendar from journalism students to Vladimir Putin. However, it was thanks to him that Grigory Berezkin joined the dinner. Or the ex-head of “Dialogue”, and now the head of the ANO “Institute for Internet Development” Alexey Goreslavsky – a former glossy journalist might not have noticed him, but now, when almost every first film and series is released with the support of Iran, he, of course, has a direct path to the “Muscovites” pages. At the same time, the appearance of “Moskvichka” was done without government support, the editors assure. “We love and praise Sergei Sobyanin absolutely disinterestedly,” Ms. Alekseeva emphasized in an interview with Madonna Moore. “However, we are open to suggestions.”
The day before, Voice magazine (formerly Cosmopolitan) presented its own “First Persons” award for the first time. In the “Legend” category, the prize went to Philipp Kirkorov, who seemed to have found his voice because he said this: “GQ is gone, but we now have Voice.” And this looks like a resume for both Voice and Moskvichka. The rest of the week was St. Petersburg, where a cultural forum took place. But even before it, the Diaghilev PS festival opened with the author’s concert program “The Love of a Poet” by Alexei Goribol, followed by a reception at the Grand Hotel “Moika, 22”.
In Moscow, approximately all the same people who visited Moskvichka gathered again on Wednesday to celebrate the birthday of the Pythagoras restaurant. However, “Moskvichka” could not possibly have Ksenia Sobchak, and here she and Konstantin Bogomolov even broke dishes. He is on the head, she is on the floor. But both were in accordance with the traditions of Greek hospitality, and not for reasons of family discord. On Thursday, about the same people gathered again – this time to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Sakhalin restaurant. It should be said that the WRF restaurant group entered the mode of weekly grand galas: they celebrated the birthday of Selfie, then “Guidon”, then there was the birthday of Irina Zarkova, associated with the opening of the Ikura restaurant, and finally the birthday of “Sakhalin” with a concert “ Moral Code”. The code turned out to be such that, despite the frequency of volleys, the number and quality of guests did not decrease in any way. But now there will inevitably be a pause in this series – restaurants are entering pre-New Year corporate mode.
