The past social week from one side, innovative or simply progressive, was highlighted in different directions by Yandex; from the other, rather traditional, she danced a slow dance to the duet of Stas Mikhailov with Eldar Abdrazakov; and somewhere on the ridge were the “Top 1000” award of the Russian Managers Association and opening days at Pinsky Gallery and Ruarts.
At the beginning of the week, the Yandex division Ultima, together with Kinopoisk, invited the chefs closest to them and their fans to dinner at the State Historical Museum. The heroes of Pushkin’s fairy tales would say, “I know this miracle,” because it has long been impossible to surprise a secular person with dinner in a cultural place not intended for this purpose. But it’s one thing to bring catering to the site, and quite another to install equipment right in the museum for dinner in chef’s table mode, when the chefs cook at a large kitchen island and immediately comment on what is happening to the guests seated around the common table. Moreover, this dinner had not one chef, but four at once: Andrey Shmakov, Georgy Troyan, Anatoly Kazakov and Evgeny Vikentyev. There were also four innings, but each of the chefs took part in two – the arithmetic is not complicated, but for complete clarity, the story of each can be considered in the documentary series “Delicate Taste”, in the name of which everything happened. It is not known whether Alexander Rappoport, Olga Karput, Oleg Shelyagov, Ida Galich and other guests will watch the cook’s doc, but they greeted each presentation with maximum attention. At the end of the week, the same “Ultima Yandex Food” invited gastroindustry specialists to announce the establishment of their own restaurant guide, for now in Moscow. It is clear that after the coming and going of the Michelin guide, the happiness of ranking restaurant achievements cannot go to Irina Tiusonina and her Where To Eat award alone.
The Yandex Music party was nestled between these two gastronomic events. It was planned to be very informal – in the Zaryadye parking lot and with all those who are called freshmen. But the organizers, apparently, were afraid that they would feel too grown up in such an environment, so the directorial talents of Yuri Kvyatkovsky were strengthened by the producing talents of Mikhail Druyan. He conveniently arrived in Moscow so that potential event customers would not be left alone in December with freshmen from the secular genre. As a result, “Yandex Music” was performed at the Gorky Moscow Art Theater, so no one walked past the stage without the joke “Well, here I am on the stage of the Moscow Art Theater.” Alexandra Sagalovich gave a short presentation, and the audience listened to her very carefully, because it was not an algebra lesson, but a conversation about really important things: the growth of auditions, the growth of the audience, the algorithms of the “Wave” mode. And when Ms. Sagalovich announced the launch of the new function “Donations from Fans,” the Moscow Art Theater exploded with applause, which rarely thunders within these walls. Then there was the distribution of awards, and Instasamka (you may know her from the track “For Money Yes”) won in two categories at once.
The next evening, the flow of social life unexpectedly brought singer Kai Metov to the surface – as if hinting to Instasamk that fate can be cruel, even if you have not one hit, but three. At the Varvarka III cigar club, Victoria Shelyagova rehearsed the New Year in the Chinese style, with dragons, fireworks and a musical treat, where Mr. Metov was a herring under a fur coat, and Stas Mikhailov played Olivier. And if many looked at the first performer as if they were at a seance, then their souls simply reached out to Mr. Mikhailov! Among those who reached out were Igor Mirkurbanov, who quite often performs Mr. Mikhailov’s hits in a friendly circle, as well as Ildar Abdrazakov, who had to suggest the lyrics to the song so that he could sing “For You” in his world-famous voice.
