The Ministry of Sports of Crimea intends to take measures to increase the share of citizens systematically involved in physical education and sports in the republic in 2024 to 58.3%. Today it is 46.4%. Provide Crimeans with sports facilities up to 62%, the current value is 48%. Judging by how the sports sector is developing on the peninsula, these indicators do not seem so exorbitant.

According to the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olga Torubarova, for the period 2015-2023. the total volume of financial support for the industry amounted to more than 15 billion rubles. The peak value was reached in 2020, when more than 3 billion rubles were allocated, which is 7 times the amount of industry funding before 2014.

“Four Olympic reserve sports schools, 14 sports schools, 22 municipal sports schools, one Olympic reserve school operate at the expense of the budget,” said Olga Alexandrovna. – Two sports schools of autonomous non-profit organizations are recipients of federal and regional subsidies – the Football Academy and the Ilya Averbukh Winter Sports School. 17,635 athletes undergo sports training in all Crimean institutions. More than 90 thousand people annually participate in 223 privately owned physical education and sports clubs.

Adaptive sports are successfully developing in the republic. The structure of sports schools includes 18 departments for Paralympic sports.

“This year, at the expense of the federal budget, within the framework of the project “Sport is the norm of life,” an 8-seater car was purchased for the school to transport athletes in wheelchairs,” the minister noted.

Every year, funds are allocated to support athletes and their coaches, sports veterans. These are scholarships, prizes, bonuses, grants, and other payments. Since 2015 – this is more than 165 million rubles.

Since the integration of Crimean sports into the sports family of our country, the number of sports facilities has increased by 950 facilities (3712 units, the goal by 2030 is 4250). And the number of people involved in physical education and sports increased by 259% – up to 670 thousand people.

In order to provide material and technical support to sports institutions, subsidies are annually allocated for our sports schools within the framework of the “Sport is the Norm of Life” and “Business Sprint” programs. Since 2019, four sports schools of the Olympic reserve have been able to purchase equipment worth 18 million rubles. Another 10 sports schools received more than 62 million rubles for similar purposes. 4,505 athletes from the national teams were equipped with equipment at the expense of the republican budget.

Since reunification with Russia, Crimea has seen an unprecedented, colossal breakthrough in the restoration and creation of new sports infrastructure, large sports complexes that provide opportunities for sports and healthy leisure for a large number of Crimeans. These are the water sports palaces in Simferopol and Yevpatoria, the “Olympic Reserve Shooting School”, the “Crimea-Sport” training complex, the Olympic Reserve School in the village. “Over 9 years, the number of Crimeans systematically involved in sports has increased from 258 thousand to 670 thousand people,” Olga Torubarova proudly reported. – Our plans are to reach a million or more by 2030. The GTO complex is being successfully implemented, but here we have something to strive for. In the rating line, the republic rose from 71st place to 57th. We can do better.

Since 2014, the number of sports has doubled: from 48 to 100 sports federations. New directions have appeared: sports programming, fidgetal sports, hybrid sports, computer sports.

Our athletes won 4,306 medals from 2016 to 2023, honorary titles were awarded to 13 international-class masters of sports of Russia, 298 masters of sports of Russia, 2,469 candidates for master of sports.

The republic’s sports teams in various sports include 4,642 athletes, as well as 622 coaches. According to the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan Committee on Tourism, Resorts and Sports Oksana Sergienko, the priority is to attract investment in human resources and increase the number of qualified trainers.

“With the support of federal executive authorities, it is necessary to take additional measures to ensure an increase in the prestige of the coaching profession,” said the head of the committee. – A tool for such work in rural areas could be the “Rural Trainer” program, similar to the “Rural Doctor” and “Rural Teacher” programs. Such a project has already been successfully tested in the Southern Urals and has received widespread social support.
