Every second Russian supports the idea of switching to a four-day week

49% of Russians support the introduction of a 4-day working week, showed survey research center of the Superjob portal. 71% of respondents who work a five-day shift are confident that they will be able to cope with their responsibilities in just 4 days. Young people (under 34 years of age) are most actively in favor of reducing the number of working days; the older age group (45 and older) is the least supportive of it. Opponents of the transition to a four-day work week are primarily concerned with the issue of wages.
When asked what they could do with their free time from work, respondents most often answered: family, recreation, or part-time work. Other options include household and personal affairs, self-development, hobbies, sports, travel, cultural leisure and health.
