MEPs at the plenary session rejected an amendment to the draft resolution on the conflict in Ukraine. The amendment implied a call for the observance of freedom of speech and opinion in relation to those who oppose the supply of weapons to Ukraine and call for peace.
The amendment, in particular, notes that the European Parliament should express concern about the propensity to attack those who are against the supply of weapons. She also calls for support for the peace movement and negotiations.
The broadcast of the voting is published on the website of the European Parliament.
It is worth noting that the EP resolutions are not legally binding on the EU countries, but are advisory in nature.
