Euroclear and Clearstream may bring a lawsuit against Beeline to consideration

MC “Leader” petitioned for the involvement of European clearing systems Euroclear and Clearstream as third parties in the consideration of a lawsuit filed against the Russian telecom operator Vimpelcom (operating under the Beeline brand). This was stated at a court hearing on February 15 by Lider’s lawyer Pavel Kabanov.
Litigation between Vimpelcom and Veon Eurobond holders (Beeline’s parent company registered in the Netherlands) continues amid the intention of the Dutch holding to sell the Russian asset. Lenders insist that the deal is impossible without Vimpelcom’s guarantees for loan repayments.
