EUobserver: EU to impose sanctions for spreading information about Ukraine

The EU authorities plan to add to the sanctions lists a number of individuals and legal entities from Russia for disseminating information about the conflict in Ukraine. This was told by the sources of the publication EUobserver.
It is assumed that the honorary chairman of the Presidium of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy Sergei Karaganov, the military commander of the WarGonzo project Semyon Pegov, the son of the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Artem Uss, may be included in the EU sanctions list.
The sources also spoke about the EU plans to ban the Oriental Review portal, RT Balkan and Tsargrad TV channels on its territory.
There has been no official confirmation of this information.
Earlier, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv, called the goal the eleventh package of EU sanctions against Russia opposition to circumvention of existing restrictions. As the politician clarified, the EU countries within the framework of this package may prohibit the export of a number of goods to third countries if they are suspected of helping to circumvent sanctions against the Russian Federation.
Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov warned that those restrictions that have already been introduced against Russia, and new ones that may now be discussed in Brussels and Washington, in any case “they will also hit the global economy”.
