The heads of the European Union (EU) member states during a summit in Brussels agreed to provide Ukraine with 50 billion euros in macro-financial assistance. This was announced by the head of the European Council, Charles Michel.
“All 27 leaders agreed on an additional 50 billion euros to support Ukraine as part of the multi-year EU budget,” Michel wrote on his page on the social network X.
He added that the allocation of this financial assistance package “will provide sustainable, long-term and predictable financing” to Kyiv. According to him, the European Union continues to maintain “leadership and responsibility for supporting” Ukraine.
