EU has no plans to invite Hamas to Middle East conference

The head of the European Council, Charles Michel, summing up the results of the first day of the EU summit in Brussels, spoke about the prospects for holding a peace conference on the Middle East.
According to him, European leaders advocated holding such a meeting “in the very near future.” However, no one plans to invite Hamas to it, despite the fact that it is one of the parties to the conflict.
“Hamas is a terrorist organization… I don’t see a place for Hamas in a conference where the EU will participate,” Michel said.
