Estonian national team players criticized for photo with Karpin

Fans criticized the players of the Estonian national team, who on December 31 were photographed in a restaurant with the head coach of the Russian national team Valery Karpin. The photo was published by former national team player Andrey Stepanov. The meeting was also attended by the captain of the Estonian national team Konstantin Vasiliev, midfielder Sergei Zenev.
Fan associations MTU Jalgpallihaigla have issued a statement saying that football players must uphold the same values that both the Estonian state and much of Europe stand for.
The statement says that communication with high-ranking Russian football officials is unacceptable.
Recall that Valery Karin was born in Narva in Estonia and has Estonian citizenship.
