The Estonian Border Guard fined a man 400 euros for wearing a St. George ribbon on his car. This was reported by the state television and radio broadcasting portal ERR.
According to the source, everything happened at the Narva border checkpoint. When inspecting a car that was entering Estonia from Russia, border guards found a St. George ribbon on the driver. The man’s tape was taken away and a fine of 400 euros was issued. After this, he was approved to enter Estonia.
Let us recall that in April 2022, the country’s authorities banned the use of “hostile symbols.” This applies to the St. George ribbon, the “Z” symbol, the flag of Russia and the USSR and the Soviet military uniform.
