Estonian MP Kaljulaid expressed disappointment with the results of the NATO summit
Raymond Kaljulaid, a member of the National Defense Commission and the head of the Estonian delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, reacted negatively to the decisions taken at the NATO summit in Vilnius on Kiev’s membership in the alliance. He told the Estonian National Television about this.
According to the deputy, the decision adopted in Vilnius demonstrates how some Western states see the end of the conflict, and it differs significantly from public rhetoric.
“They do not believe that Ukraine will be able to win and achieve its goals in the coming years,” Kaljulaid said.
Kaljulaid also stressed that despite the absence of official negotiations between Moscow and Washington, in fact, the Russian Federation and the United States at various levels are looking for the “right solution” to the conflict in Ukraine. At the same time, China is also participating in this process.
In addition, he added that US President Joe Biden should “fix” the issue in Ukraine, otherwise it will be used against him. In particular, this threatens the reappearance of Donald Trump as American president.
