Estonia and Latvia agree on a joint purchase of military equipment

Estonia and Latvia plan to spend 693 million euros on the joint purchase of military wheeled vehicles. This was stated by the representative of the Estonian Defense Ministry Herko Sepp to the state broadcasting portal ERR. He added that 410 million of these funds will be invested by Estonia.
According to the official, the first vehicles may arrive in the country as early as the third or fourth quarter of next year. As part of the transaction, it is also planned to maintain and repair the supplied equipment and purchase spare parts for it.
The Estonian military added that the country needs SUVs and trucks, as well as cranes and tugs. The country’s troops still use trucks that were produced in the 70s of the last century.
