Erdogan summed up the results of negotiations with “dear friend” Putin

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday, September 4, shared his opinion on the talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, held in Sochi.
On his Telegram channel, Erdogan wrote that he had discussed “with the President of Russia, my dear friend Mr Putin” various topics on the current agenda.
The politicians agreed to strengthen multifaceted cooperation, especially in the areas of trade, energy, agriculture, tourism, economics and finance, and close contacts between Turkey and Russia will further contribute to the solution of regional and global problems, the Turkish President noted.
President of the Aspect Center for Social and Political Research Georgy Fedorov, commenting on the Russian-Turkish talks at the highest level, expressed the opinion that the President of Turkey should not be perceived as a friend or partner of Russia. The expert stressed that if Erdogan comes to Sochi, it means that he faces his own tasks – he pursues only his own interests.
Andrey Chuprygin, a senior lecturer at the HSE School of Oriental Studies, noted that “Erdogan is in the spotlight and is perceived as a locomotive,” who moves the grain dealbut “this is a serious addition to the political image of the President of Turkey.”
