Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan did not miss the opportunity to shame his rival in the presidential elections, the candidate from the opposition People’s Alliance, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, for his words about Russian interference in the elections.
“Now Mr. Kemal has started teasing Russia,” Erdogan said during a speech in Istanbul.
“Aren’t you ashamed? Be ashamed,” Erdogan continued, turning to Kılıçdaroğlu.
He also wondered what his opponent would say if it became known that the US, UK and Germany were trying to run the elections.
Earlier, the Kremlin denied Kilicdaroglu’s accusations, noting that Moscow does not interfere in the internal politics and electoral processes of other states.
