Erdogan says global powers are trying to influence Turkish elections

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that world powers “from Europe to America” seek to influence the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections in the country.
“Global powers, from Europe to America, are actively working to influence the May 14 elections. Vile campaigns against me are carried out for this purpose,” Erdogan said during a speech to youth in the city of Aydin.
Erdogan is running for his third presidential term. He will be a candidate from the Union of the Republic party. The coalition of opposition parties has not yet named its candidate.
