President Erdogan: local elections in Turkey were democratic
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, commenting on the completed local government elections in the country, assured that no serious violations were registered in their conduct.
According to the head of state, the principles of democracy and free expression of will were respected.
“The local elections ended with the maturity befitting our democracy, with the exception of some isolated incidents,” Erdogan said.
