Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, expressed hope that a way out of the situation at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant could be found. This was reported in the office of Erdogan.
Erdogan noted that Turkey continues its efforts to meet the humanitarian needs of Ukrainians during the winter months.
“Stating that the grain corridor could be expanded to include various foodstuffs and other goods, President Erdogan said he hoped a solution would be found for the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant,” the report says.
Erdogan also said that he appreciated the contribution that can be made to the implementation of the peace plan proposed by Zelensky at the G20 summit.
On Sunday, it was also reported that Erdogan phoned Russian President Vladimir Putin. The grocery deal was one of the topics of their conversation.
