Erdogan announced the start of a new era in Turkey’s relations with Egypt

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held the first talks in many years with Egyptian President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi on the sidelines of the G20 summit.
According to the Erdogan administration, the presidents discussed bilateral relations between Ankara and Cairo, increasing trade turnover, and various regional and global problems. In addition, the Turkish leader stressed the importance of cooperation in the fields of nuclear energy, LNG supplies, as well as culture and education.
Erdogan announced the beginning of a new stage in relations between the countries after the appointment of ambassadors – this happened in early July for the first time in a decade.
